FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Everything You Need to Know
YES- ITS A POWDER!!
That's right! Its a highly concentrated powder. This way you can mix it as thick or thin as you like, and only mix the amount that you like to use. The instructions on the tin are a guide to ratios, but some people use less than others.
AVOIDING LUMPS IN THE MIX
Lets talk lumps- For those who have experienced lumps in their mix....(not harmful) the number 1 solution is to make sure you have enough agitation space in the bottle you're shaking. This is why we recommend 1 litre of water in a 1.5 litre bottle.
Other causes of lumps can be water temperature. If its too warm, it'll lump up quicker than you can shake it.
As a totally natural product we are dealing with its totally natural quirks.
HOW DO I MAKE IT HOT?
If you add Octacle directly into hot water, it is more likely to clump.
The best way to make Octacle Suit Lube hot, is to mix it initially with less cold water (500ml as opposed to 1 litre). Then once you've shaken and dissolved it, add very hot water to that, and shake again.
CAN I USE IT IN THE POOL?
Yes you can! However, you may need to make a slightly stronger mix as the chlorine breaks down the Octacle quicker.
CAN I USE SALT WATER TO MIX?
Yes you can! However, like the chlorine in a pool, the salt does make for slightly less slippery mix. Just add an extra half tsp!
